Brooks & Dunn + Jelly Roll’s ‘Believe’ Creates Religious Experience at CMA Awards

Even though it was a Wednesday evening in Nashville, Brooks & DunnandAt the 2024 CMA Awards, Jelly Roll took a lot of Sunday morning worship with them as they performed “Believe.”

Kix Brooks played the introductory line on the piano as Jelly stood by his side to begin the performance. After singing, Ronnie Dunn came out onstage and stood next to Jelly.

Jelly was dressed in a black shirt with white collar accents. This time, however, Jelly Roll’s bandmates Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn were immediately certain that they wanted him to get his hands on this specific song.

“The performers and the songs they chose to perform were not really our concern. But our boss told us, ‘I really want Jelly Roll to record ‘Believe,'” Brooks told Taste of Country Nights in an interview conducted around the day of the album’s release.
