On Wednesday, December 18, the Pioneer Womanstar’s daughter Alex and her husband Mauricio welcomed their first daughter. They shared a series of black-and-white hospital photos on social media to mark the baby’s birth.

Drummond posted a photo to Instagram from the hospital. Ladd sits next to Drummond in the picture, gazing lovingly at his new grandson while she holds her newborn granddaughter.
Drummond captioned her image with, “Our first baby had her first baby,” “Thank you Lord, we will never be the same.”
On her Instagram Stories, Drummond also posted a close-up of the adorable baby’s face along with a big, festive white bow tied around her head.
Drummond said in the post, “What is happening,” obviously moved with emotion at the opportunity to spend her granddaughter’s first few days of life with her.
She briefly paused the sweetness to observe how little hospital swaddling blankets had changed in the thirty years since Drummond gave birth to her own children.
Before saying, “Okay bye,” she joked, “How come hospital swaddling blankets have this same foot pattern from thirty years ago?”
In a blog post, Drummond also included additional pictures from Sofia’s initial days in the hospital and a few quick reflections on the arrival of her grandchild.
She also wrote, “We will never be the same,” in a comment on the page announcing her daughter’s arrival. Sofia Scott, you are so loved by us.
