According to a recent story, Duck Dynastystar Phil Robertson has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s.
According to People, Jase, Robertson’s son, broke the heartbreaking news on Friday, December 6, on an episode of the Unashamed With the Robertson Family podcast.
“Phil’s condition is not good. I believe I was on the thousandth podcast. We were working to determine the diagnosis, but the physicians are certain that he has a blood condition that is creating a variety of issues,” Jase stated.
Additionally, he has Alzheimer’s in its early stages. When you combine those factors, it’s clear that he’s not doing well. He’s having a lot of trouble.
As one of the stalwarts of Duck Dynasty, which chronicled the exploits of the colorful Robertson family, 78-year-old Phil Robertson quickly rose to celebrity.
According to Jase Robertson, his father would like to go back to work, but he didn’t seem to be very certain that it was feasible.
“Well, Phil, your memory isn’t what it used to be, and you can hardly move without yelling in agony,” I said. “Tell me about it,” he says. He is literally unable to do so, but I believe he would consent to simply sit down and talk,” he said.
“We have a group of doctors, and another group of doctors is examining all the tests, and they all agree that there is no way to cure what he has. So what do you do, you know? Our goal is to help him feel a little more at ease.
