I recall working with my grandfather to plant trees in his front yard when I was very little. I had never witnessed the process before, and every time I go to visit, I am reminded of that experience. It’s been amazing to watch those trees mature into their current state since they were planted 20 years ago. One was recently lost due to weather, but I think the other is still in fine condition.
Indiana DNR Division of Forestry s Community and Urban Forestry (CUF) Inaugural Photo Contest
Because of the temperate soil temperatures, spring and fall are among the finest seasons to plant trees. To encourage Hoosiers to enjoy the season by planting trees and documenting their efforts, the Indiana Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is taking submissions for its Inaugural Urban Forestry Photo Contest during November. The top three images from this year’s Indiana Community & Urban Forestry Symposium will receive gift packages.
