California THERAPIST Was ARRESTED for MOLESTING AND SEXUALLY ABUSING Disabled Girl

A severely disabled and non-verbal child under the age of 10 was the victim of sexual assault by a behavioral therapist last month during a therapy session at her home. The therapist faces sexual abuse charges.

The Los Altos man Mitchell Takata, 21, is facing allegations of lewd acts upon a minor, attempted sexual intercourse or sodomy with a minor under the age of 10, and attempted rape of a victim with a mental or physical disability. Allegations against him date back to 2014.

Late in May, police were called to a residence in Riverside’s Ramona community regarding a molestation that had just taken place, according to the police.

It is alleged that the child’s behavioral therapist sexually molested her during their session. Riverside police reported that upon their arrival, Takata was still at the residence.

Officers from the Sexual Assault-Child Abuse Unit (SACA) took up the investigation after receiving a call.

There was a lack of information on the incident.

The people of Robert Presley Detention Center took Takata into custody and lodged him in prison. With a bond of $1 million, he is still in jail ABC7 stated.

Later on, the district attorney’s office for Riverside County filed charges against Takata.

Authorities claim that for the past three years, Takata has worked as a behavioral therapist, specializing in the care of children with severe disabilities. The police aren’t ruling out the possibility that further victims have not yet come forward.
