The sight of snow falling when you wake up has a certain enchantment. I am aware that not everyone enjoys snow days. Even as adults, we still have to get to work, which entails navigating ice roads, clearing off cars, etc. In addition, we have to contend with the risks of trees collapsing and power outages when ice is added.
Winter Time Fun
I came upon a ton of cute images and videos of children and animals having fun outside, sledding, and building snowmen. However, a polar bear—rather than a toddler or a dog—was the prettiest image I’ve seen on social media since Winter Storm Blair swept across the Midwest.
St. Louis Zoo Polar Bear
Our passion is the St. Louis Zoo. There are so many incredible animal experiences and exhibitions, and admission is free! When we travel, we start by seeing the seals and penguins. In their natural surroundings, you truly get to know them up close. Kali the polar bear is one of our other favorite animals at the St. Louis Zoo.
St. Louis Zoo Live Stream
Kali has had the time of his life over the past two days, and you can be sure of it! After around six inches of snow fell on St. Louis, the zoo was closed to visitors. However, officials saw Kali’s joy and decided to broadcast it live to his admirers.
Many people are commenting on the zoo’s Facebook page:
“Get that guy a coca cola!” was one comment.
“He’s probably the only being in St. Louis who approves of the snow!” added another.
Some people are posting images of their kitties that are giddy with joy as they watch Kali play on television! VERY CUTE.
One commenter who recalled the days when going to the zoo in the winter to watch the polar bear play was a huge event was my favorite!
“My kids and I would visit the zoo on snow days. We would stroll about, sip hot chocolate, and observe the snow-playing animals. The day was fantastic. We spent at least an hour playing with the river otters. They would roll around in the snow as it dropped, and we would swoosh it off the wall. After that, they would slide down the ice-covered water slide, which was a lot of fun to see. Even now, my children continue to discuss that.
