The most romantic hotel in the Hoosier State could be worth a look if you haven’t already, especially since Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching.
Since February 14 falls on a Friday in 2025, there will be plenty of time to enjoy Valentine’s Day. Enjoying the holiday can be done in a variety of ways, such as having a lovely meal, exchanging considerate gifts, or even taking a short weekend getaway. There are lots of things to do in and around Indiana if you want to do the latter and don’t want to travel far. According to Reader’s Digest, there are a lot of romantic hotels and activities for couples in the Hoosier State, with Bloomington offering the most romantic options.
The Grant Street Inn
The Grant Street Inn is situated between Indiana University and downtown Bloomington. William Rogers constructed the first of its five homes in 1883 as a present for his bride. The Cook family bought the property in the early 1990s, saving it from demolition. The Grant Street Inn was physically relocated to its present site, one and a half blocks to the east, where it started off as a small bed and breakfast. Since then, the property has grown to become a 40-room hotel by adding four more adjacent structures.

The hotel’s rooms are all very different from one another. Some even include balconies and working fireplaces in addition to a TV and desk. In terms of cuisine, visitors are treated to a complimentary breakfast that is prepared by hand every morning and served buffet-style. Yes, Wi-Fi is available at this four-star hotel. The fact that the night of February 14 is already fully booked suggests that it would be a nice place to go on vacation. However, if you believe the trip is worthwhile, there are still some accommodations available before and after Valentine’s Day.
