Tim McGraw Departs Upcoming Netflix Series Due to Surgery

A recent report claims that Tim McGrawhas had withdrawn from his upcoming Netflix series because of an impending operation.

According to Deadline, the actor and country singer has withdrawn from his part in an unnamed show based in the rodeo world because he will need a lengthy recuperation period following back surgery.

According to a source close to McGraw, he also underwent orthopedic surgery on both knees in August 2024 after sustaining an injury that prevented him from playing the rest of his 2024 tour.

In May 2024, McGraw’s Netflix series was revealed. A champion bull rider is slated to be followed as he encounters a “life-or-death crossroads when confronted by the arrival of a fearless young rider whose existence challenges his ways and unearths secrets that force him to reckon with his past.”

Under the auspices of his Down Home entertainment firm, which debuted in the spring of 2023 in collaboration with Skydance Television, he was slated to executive produce and appear in the program.

Deadline claims that McGraw decided to leave the physically taxing lead role in order to recast it and allow the program to continue.

The future of the show is now uncertain, and it is unclear if McGraw will continue to act as an executive producer. Skydance and Netflix representatives chose not to comment.

In addition to his musical career, McGraw has long pursued a career as an actor. Among his film ventures are Country Strong, The Blind Side, Tomorrowland, Friday Night Lights, and others.

His most recent television appearance with his wife, Faith Hill, was in Taylor Sheridan’s 2021 Yellowstone prequel 1883, which was a huge hit with Paramount+ viewers.
