I apologize in advance if this article triggers you since you might not want to hear any more about snow after the trauma we had from Mother Nature and Winter Storm Blair.

Perhaps you’re thinking, “I’m sure there are others who had it worse than us,” or “I can’t imagine anyone got more snow than us.” Well, LawnLove.com created a list of the counties that get the most snowfall in the winter months in observance of World Snow Day on January 19th.

Which Indiana Counties Get the Most Snow?

From roughly as far north as possible to the very southernmost point of the state, there are four Hoosier counties on the list. St. Joseph County (South Bend and Mishawaka) is the most snowy county in Indiana and is ranked #54 on this list. The rankings of the other counties are shown here.

  • #131 – Allen County (Fort Wayne and New Haven)
  • #146 – Marion County (Indianapolis)
  • #161 – Vanderburgh County (Evansville)

Which U.S. Counties Get the Most and Least Snow?

The fact that Alaska is home to four of the top five counties on this list—though not the top one—should come as no surprise. Coos County, New Hampshire, is the county that receives the most snow, and it’s not even close. Not surprisingly, you would need to take a lengthy flight—all the way to Honolulu County in Hawaii—to visit the 258th-ranked county.

Read the rest of the list below if you have some free time, perhaps due to snow-related cancellations.
