Sam Hunt was taken into custody earlier this month on suspicion of speeding and interlock device violations.
According to Henderson County, Tennessee, police report that Hunt was charged, imprisoned, then released on a $1,500 bail all in the same day (January 20).
After being arrested on DUI charges in 2019, this is the country music artist’s second arrest in the past five years.
A breathalyzer fitted on a vehicle to deter drunk driving is known as an interlock device. The car won’t start until the driver proves they are sober by breathing into it.
The charge was ultimately dropped, which is wonderful news for Hunt and his supporters.
- Sam Hunt is married to Hannah Lee and they have two kids, with another on the way.
- “Country House” is his current single, the follow-up to a No. 1 hit called “Outskirts.”
- He pled guilty to drunk driving in 2021, calling the 2019 decision to drive “poor and selfish.”
There will be no charges and the speeding ticket will be paid, according to an update from the singer’s representative that TMZ first obtained from police records of Hunt’s arrest.

Hunt’s personal life was turbulent for a year as a result of his conviction. The following year, Hannah filed for divorce, but the two would get back together just in time for their son’s birth.
Hunt told Taste of Country earlier this year that Hannah’s ability to forgive quickly is one of her many wonderful qualities.
There aren’t many details available about his and his wife’s most recent pregnancy; even the due date is unknown. That was also the case with Hunt’s first two children, allowing only sex and name to inadvertently surface.
