Over the Valentine’s Day weekend, a movie theater in Indiana is holding a Harry Potter marathon event, which will include a special screening of the first movie.

Since the first Harry Potter movies came out on VHS in the early 2000s, I have been a huge fan. When I was old enough for the PG-13 classification, I saw a few of the later movies in theaters and read the books in elementary school. For anyone who wants to lose themselves in a magical and fantastical world, the series is a delightful diversion. There’s one event you should definitely keep an eye on, regardless of whether you enjoy the books, the movies, or both. For the first time in the US, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone will be shown in 3D at an AMC cinema in Indiana in collaboration with Fathom Events.

However, the head of publishing at Scholastic decided that the title needed to be more associated with the world of magic, therefore “Philosopher” was changed to “Sorcerer” for the U.S. release, according to Comicbook.com.All non-U.S. releases of the book and movie use the original title, according to IMDb. In order to conform to the title, two distinct versions of the film were made for each scene in which the stone is referenced by name. The video above shows some of the differences.
