Memphis Weather Man Issues a Liquor Store Warning

Numerous states could get heavy snowfall on Thursday night and Friday as a result of a massive winter storm aimed at the south. Missouri, Mississippi, Alabama, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Louisiana, Kentucky, Indiana, and Tennessee are a few of them. The chart below shows that many places are already under a Winter Storm Warning (the dreaded pink).

What we know is as follows. It’s chilly. There will be snowfall. Memphis, for example, could see about eight inches!

The DAMN Weather of Memphis issued a LIQUOR STORE WARNING as a result of that forecast. This is hilariously hysterical.

The DAM Weather of Memphis Facebook page states that on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at 10:23 PM CST, the URGENT WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE was sent out. The LIQUOR STORE WARNING is in force from Thursday before 11 p.m. to Saturday during business hours.

The FULL INSURANCE COVERAGE WATCH is just as crucial as the LIQUOR STORE WARNING. The website claims that the National Weather Service’s Winter Storm Warning states that “conditions unfavorable to not having liquor or full coverage insurance are anticipated during the warning hours.”

Goddamn Weather continues by alerting drivers to the risks associated with driving next to other drivers. These cautions include: 1) You should anticipate that other drivers won’t pay attention to your speed until it’s too late when the situation worsens. 2) Keep in mind that some drivers will lose control, resulting in traffic jams all around the city.

Trey Asbridge is the creator of the social media page.

In 2009, he launched the page, then in 2014, he changed its name. Trey claims that he always imagined himself replacing longtime WMC-TV meteorologist Dave Brown when he grew up. But Trey realized after Dave’s retirement that he uses “way too many vulgar words to ever be on broadcast television.”

He changed course a little, but he still gets to pursue his lifelong ambition of becoming a meteorologist without having to worry about being banned or fired every day. The reason The DAMN Weather of Memphis has maintained its cult appeal, according to Trey, is that “it’s relatable to the every day person going about their day and isn’t polished up.”

At the moment, The DAMN Weather of Memphis has more than 17,000 followers. I suspect that some of them have stopped into a nearby booze store to prepare for some DAMN snow ahead of Thursday and Friday’s winter storm.
