At a recent Lainey Wilson event, there was an imposter onstage.
Ian Munsick, Wilson’s opening act, showed out on stage wearing her bell bottoms after rifling through her closet to perform an epicprank.
Munsick used multiple video footage that were stitched together to capture the event on social media.
In the video, Wilson yells, “Stop, you lyin’,” as she discovers he is wearing her real trousers.
The two then start singing “Good Horses” together, with Munsick swaying and wriggling his legs. At one point, she corrects his dancing, telling him to slow down and sway to the music.
She says, “You gotta go with the rhythm like this,” and he does the same. “It’s called the turkey leg.”
Wilson instructs the newcomer to be certain and put those pants back in her room at the conclusion of the video montage. She’ll probably want to burn them instead, he quips.

Country Music’s End-of-Tour Traditions
Opening performers now frequently pull roadside practical jokes on the main acts, particularly in country music. These shenanigans typically occur at the end of the voyage, as was the case with Munsick and Wilson, but occasionally they occur on their own.

The end-of-tour gift is another custom. This is typically the headliner’s way of saying “thank you” to the opening. Musical instruments, jewelry, accessories, and even money have been given to artists.
Wilson really went out of her way for Munsick, giving him an ATV and a personalized belt buckle!
