However, there are plenty of lovely waterways throughout the Commonwealth, and it doesn’t take a genius to see how breathtaking the landscape is or may be from THAT perspective. There will undoubtedly be countless photo opportunities if you go on any form of river trip in the Bluegrass State. However, even if you are on a river, a ride on the Valley View Ferry will be ideal if you want to mix in some history. In Kentucky, it is the oldest company still in operation.
The Valley View Ferry’s History
You will ultimately reach the point where the Kentucky River and Tates Creek meet if you travel down Tates Creek Road in Lexington. The historic Valley View Ferry, which has been in service since before Kentucky became the 15th state in 1792, is where you and your car can board at that time.
