Becoming a country music artist like Hank Williams, Jr. is one of Justin Moore’s inspirations.
Moore recently shared some strong opinions about Williams Jr. in an interview with his record label; some country music fans may find his views problematic.
Even though the “All My Rowdy Friends Are Coming Over Tonight” star is a classic and has been inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame, Moore believes that Hank Jr.’s abilities are still somewhat underappreciated.
Moore claims it “sounds ridiculous when you think of all that he’s done and won and all the huge hits he’s had,” according to Country Now. However, I don’t believe that people are aware of his abilities.”
“Vocal talent” may not be the first thing that comes to mind when you mention Williams Jr.’s name. Moore, however, believes that ought to change.
“There s not a guy in country music history who s had a better vocal range, low to high, period,” he says. “There s not been an artist who s been a better musician overall than him, ever, in the history of country music.”
Moore had more to say than that, though.
He reiterated, “In my opinion, there has never been a better songwriter in the history of country music.” “And he deserves all the credit that he can get for his artistry.”
