Texas Has 11 Cities on List of Safest and Most Affordable

Eleven Texas communities were listed among the Top 25 cities in the United States based on factors including crime rates and cost of living.

Mesa, Arizona had the greatest rate of violent crime, while Brownsville, Texas, had the lowest cost of living of all the cities ranked, with an estimated monthly cost of $2,940.

Michigan’s Dearborn ranks 20th in terms of affordability and safety.

Indiana’s Fort Wayne ranks 19th in terms of affordability and safety.

Joliet, Illinois, ranks 17th in terms of affordability and safety.

The 14th most economical and secure city is Sterling Heights, Michigan.

Rochester, Minnesota, ranks fifth in terms of affordability and safety.

America’s Most Economical and Safest City is Elgin, Illinois.

With an average median income of nearly $85,000 and a total monthly cost of living of only $4,000, Elgin was at the top of the list.

Warren, Michigan, which is ranked 37th, Madison, Wisconsin, which is ranked 45th, and Cedar Rapids, Iowa, which is ranked 47th, are among the honorable mentions in the Top 50 of the Most Affordable and Safest Cities in Illinois.
