If You Live in Illinois, You Can’t Survive Winter Without These

If you live in Illinois, you are aware that the winter months are not only frigid but also face-numbing and cruel. This year is unlike any other.

I promise myself every year that I’ll be ready for whatever weather conditions. We’re never really prepared for what Mother Nature has in store, though, let’s face it. This winter, she is truly putting us to the test.

While competitors were changing into their racing gear at the Dasher Dash 5K at Beattie Park, I saw that the majority of them were not even wearing gloves.

I believe that day’s weather was underestimated by all of us. My fingers were hurting a lot since it was so chilly.

I took some HotHands hand warmers out of my van and put them in my gloves at that point. Defrosted my fingertips after a few minutes of heating up!

People started asking me if I had any more HotHands, as if Target was restocking limited-edition Nintendo Switches. To be honest, I didn’t hold them responsible. There is nothing but magic in those tiny bundles of warmth.

Whether they are electric or one-time use, please stock up on hand warmers if you intend to spend more than a few minutes outside this winter. They will save your life!

I’m also constantly guilty of underdressing. I believe I’ll end up freezing after warming up later. This year, I’ve made a deliberate effort to change that.

What’s the true trick to beating the cold?

  • Layer up
  • Hat with earmuffs on top
  • Double up on socks
  • Double up on underwear
  • Scarf that’s super thick
  • Extra packs of HotHands

It may seem easy, but this is my best wintertime tip. How many of them are in stock? You can’t say all of them, I’ll wager!

Therefore, avoid becoming that person who shivers and wishes for warmer weather. Mother Nature doesn’t play fair, so if you live in Illinois, don’t mess with her. I promise you that this year, those HotHands are not negotiable!
