I had to complete a gym/recreational credit while I was in college. Something new that didn’t require sprinting or balls was what I wanted to try. I also needed a way to decompress because I was active in so many groups and organizations. I therefore enrolled in a yoga course.

Saving Paws Animal Rescue of Kentucky

Saving Paws Animal Rescue of Kentucky is what SPARKY stands for. It’s a non-profit, no-kill shelter for animals located in Owensboro. The purpose of this puppy yoga event is to raise money for them and their community service. Donations of paper towels, garbage bags, gloves, bleach, food, and other items are welcome.

When and Where is Puppy Yoga?

Come on. Sit. Namaste will take place at the Owensboro Family YMCA Gymnasium on Sunday, February 16th from 1-2 PM. Cathy Pickrell, RYT, a SPARKY volunteer and yoga instructor, will be leading puppy yoga. The cost is just a donation item for SPARKY if you are a member of the YMCA. The fee for non-members is $10 plus a gift.
