Plan to enjoy a winter beach sauna in Illinois if you want to genuinely encounter something novel and unique in your life.
Illinois Beach Offers Winter Beach Sauna Experience
It’s strange because my dad’s side of the family comes from Finland, and I’ve never been a big sauna fan. Every one of them has them in their houses. I believe it’s because I dislike really hot or cold temperatures. After sitting in such heated rooms, people will plunge into the icy water. I think that’s a bit much, but I respect those that do it.

I love being at the beach. I enjoy relaxing in the lake and on the sand. Although I am aware that Illinois isn’t particularly recognized for its beaches, I spent my childhood visiting Chicago’s North Avenue Beach, which is located directly on Lake Machine. All those wonderful recollections are, of course, from the summer.
This winter, the Chicago Park District is providing a really unique experience. On North Avenue Beach, they have saunas. To enjoy the lifestyle anywhere, they have partnered with Thunder Domes, a firm that has developed a mobile sauna. What do you think about trying something different?
They’re real saunas. They are capable of reaching 200 degrees. The park district features a heated dome for changing and other activities. Simply bring water, sandals, a towel, and your own swimsuit. You must drink plenty of water.

After using the sauna, you can chill off by running into Lake Michigan if you’re courageous enough. Imagine that magnificent view of the city and the lake. This winter, put it on your bucket list.
