Some things are obvious, such as the fact that it’s that wonderful time of year when you see Coca-Cola’s iconic Christmas advertisements.
Nearly 30 years ago, in 1995, Coca-Cola’s famous “Holidays Are Coming” commercial began to air in the US. That’s plenty time to evoke sentimentality and a feeling of comfort and familiarity.
But this year, don’t count on those warm and fuzzy sentiments.
People are furious after seeing a 15-second teaser for Coke’s new commercial. Artificial intelligence appears to have been employed by the brand to hype up their advertisement.
Coca-Cola claims that by incorporating AI, they aimed to adjust to the technological landscape of today.
The brand’s chief marketing officer, Javier Meza, states: “We didn’t begin by deciding that we needed to use AI. The directive was to “bring Holidays Are Coming into the Present,” and we looked into artificial intelligence as a potential remedy.
However, the opinions of the people are not all positive:
One X user is so enraged by this AI-generated :15-second clip that they vow never to consume Coke again!
