If someone pushed me too far when I was younger, I would snap to anger, and it didn’t take much back then. Even if my inner “Hulk” occasionally comes out, as an older man, I have much better emotional control.

My wife and I were preparing to go to my parents’ house for a family gathering on Christmas Eve many years ago. On our way out of town, we made a stop to grab a drink. The top of my drink popped off as the waiter reached to bring it to me, spilling it all over my good clothes. Even though I wasn’t happy, I remained in control.

A similar situation happened to a man in Joliet, but it ended quite differently. The guy got into a heated argument with the drive-thru employee after he spilled alcohol in his car. From then on, things deteriorated.

The driver attempted to assault the employee by scaling the drive-thru glass. Fortunately, that small space was too small for him. The irate man then made his way to the parking lot. At that point, he began targeting cars. Additionally, the guy attempted to pick a fight with anybody.

A patch

The crime was reported to the police by a witness. They were able to capture the guy and take him to jail when they got there. If only he had maintained his composure.
