SHOTGUN SHELLS: THE PERFECT FOOTBALL PARTY APPETIZER

Shotgun Shells are my newest Big Game favorite! Wrapped in bacon, this substantial appetizer offers a flavorful combination of beef and sausage! There’s nothing wrong with that combination!

SHELLS OF SHOTGUN

One pound of lean ground beef1 pound of casing-free sweet Italian sausageOne cup of cheddar cheese, shreddedOne cup of pepper jack cheese, shreddedOne 7-ounce can of drained diced green chilies1/4 cup of your preferred barbecue seasoning (Patty’s fave is Meat Church’s Honey Hog BBQ)Two 8-oz cartons of dry, raw manicotti shellsFour cups of your preferred barbecue sauce (Patty uses Sweet Baby Rays or Patti’s BBQ)One pound of bacon
