For the first responders fighting the flames in the Los Angeles area, Jelly Rollis is planning a unique live performance.
The Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California, will host the performance, according to a TMZ report that Billboard also verified. On Saturday, February 1, there will be a free event that is only open to first responders and their families.
Despite being described as “Jelly Roll and friends,” Jelly is currently the only artist officially associated with the performance, raising the possibility that more artists or unexpected guests will be added.
Mass emails providing responders the opportunity to seek event tickets have been distributed to fire departments, law enforcement agencies, and the National Guard in southern California, according to TMZ.
The concert’s details are still being finalized, but since Jelly is giving away the tickets as a “thank you” to first responders, it appears that the event is not actually a fundraiser. However, the country music icon is also taking part in FireAid, a sizable charity performance that brings together musicians from many musical genres.
