Shaboozey Starring in Super Bowl Commercial for Nerds

Although Shaboozey won’t get “tipsy” during his Super Bowl commercial, he might get a sugar high. The vocalist of “A Bar Song” is the star of a commercial for Nerds Gummy Clusters.

Although the entire ad isn’t yet accessible, Nerds did post a 15-second preview on social media.

  • Shaboozey is nominated for five awards at the 2025 Grammy Awards (Feb. 2), including Best New Artist.
  • “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” was his breakout hit, while “Good News” is his new radio single.
  • Super Bowl LIX will take place on Feb. 9 on Fox. A 30-second ad is selling for $7 million.

The trailer shows Shaboozey eating a Nerds Gummy Cluster while getting ready for a video shoot. A speaker behind him plays vintage music, and vibrant Nerds start to swarm around him, finally drowning out his guitar.

Shaboozey smiles and strums a few soft notes while a pink Nerd helps make that happen.

According to Variety, Shaboozey’s Nerds commercial will air during the Super Bowl’s third quarter.

Usually, one or two country music artists do commercials during the Super Bowl. Lainey Wilson, who starred in a Coors Light commercial in 2024, was the leading spokeswoman for country music. Official statistics aren’t kept on this type of stuff, but historically, Willie Nelson has probably been the most used pitchman.

During last year’s Super Bowl, Nerds hired influencer Addison Rae to advertise their Gummy Clusters. According to the corporation, the spot was a huge success.
