Lauren Alaina Believes Her Pregnancy Is a Heavenly Gift From Her Late Father

Lauren Alaina and her husband, Cam Arnold, are expecting their first child together this summer, meaning that she will become a mother in 2025.

She has discussed why she thinks she is pregnant right now, but she hasn’t disclosed any other information regarding the gender or due date of the child.

The country singer claims in an interview with People that although the goal was to begin trying for a child by the end of 2025, there is already a baby on the way. She blames her later father for the fact that she is already pregnant.

“I do think that my dad passed away and got up in Heaven and was like, ‘Hey, we got to work something out down there to send the family something good,'” she says. “And it has been such an unexpected blessing.”

In July 2024, J.J. Suddeth, Alaina’s father, passed away. Given that she is due in the summer, her kid will be born during the same season when she lost her father, possibly even on the same day a year later. As the saying goes, “A new life enters this earth when a person leaves it.” It’s poetic but bittersweet.

“We obviously still talk about and are dealing with the grief of my dad, but this baby has healed a lot of that for us … like it’s a little piece of my dad that will live on,” she continues.

‘Thank You’ is Lauren Alaina’s response to her father’s passing.

Even while the country hitmaker is positive that everything is part of God’s plan, she still harbors some fear about becoming a mother.

“Now I’m scared because I don’t feel like I passed any sort of test,” she says. “They don’t test your ability to be a mother. It’s insane.

‘What’s your plan for the birth?’ people ask. And what do you intend to do here? “Listen,” I say, “God’s plan.” I didn’t have a plan.
