This is probably because a lot of couples decide to treat themselves to a steak dinner on the special day. Stores typically mark down beef steaks before the big day since they are aware of this. Furthermore, leftovers from the holiday, such as turkeys after Thanksgiving or ham after Christmas, might even be further discounted.
What Cuts of Beef Are the Cheapest Around Valentine’s Day?
Stores will be offering discounts on a variety of beef cuts in the run-up to Valentine’s Day, such as filet mignon, rib-eye steaks, New York strips, and T-bones. I don’t mind purchasing a small quantity of each and storing it in the freezer for use at a later time. Purchasing whole pieces of beef and slicing them into steaks yourself will help you save even more money. A rib roast is frequently available for roughly half the price per pound compared to rib-eye steaks. This is sometimes the case with filet mignon, which is derived from beef tenderloin.
