It’s only the second weekend of 2025, and the second winter storm has already arrived. That may or may not be a good sign, but it is what it is. We have had plenty of opportunity to construct magnificent snowmen because this storm is actually a snowfall.
Beware of Snowmen?
Even while I enjoy creating snowmen of all sizes, I wouldn’t be so careless as to follow SOMEONE’s example from a few years back. I was driving down Booth Avenue in Owensboro on my way home from seeing my sister. It was still snowing a little after we had been severely damaged. As I approached, I discovered that the snowman I had seen in the distance had been constructed IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD. Not amusing. Not even close. As you may guess, it’s dangerous to shiver in such weather. Luckily, I had enough time to prevent disaster.
In other news, some people construct snowmen in their yards, away from traffic, which is the proper location. However, a few years back, a lunkhead became so enraged that he attempted to smash into one that was constructed at the head of a driveway in northern Kentucky. He made a grave error, as you can see:
Don’t Run Over Snowmen…You’ve Been Warned
I like the concept of making a snowman out of a large tree stump. Simply put, I enjoy the concept of a snowman frame. In the past, I’ve constructed them just to watch them fall apart due to mistakes I made or the snow quickly being too soft.
However, that is essentially irrelevant. Avoid being that person who gets so angry that you would crash your car into a snowman. You might receive a neat little karmic retribution.
