Luke Combs’ performance of “Ain’t No Love in Oklahoma” at the 2024 CMA Awards was an exciting sight even before the song began.
The show’s three hosts, Lainey Wilson, Luke Bryan, and Peyton Manning, introduced the twister-themed hit while standing on a podium on stage, the wind tearing through their hair and costumes.
Combs’ performance was accompanied by smoke, flames, concrete slabs, and overturned pump jacks. With ease, he moved from one side of the stage to the other, demonstrating to the audience why he is a highly sought-after performer and a stadium-selling star.
Despite all of the fireworks and theatrics, the singer’s audacious, fiery voice was the highlight of the show. As lights flashed and Combs jammed out with his guitar player, screaming guitars broke through a solo before he brought the song to a soaring conclusion.

Even the A-Listers in the front row appeared awestruck by Combs’ performance at the end of the concert. Dan Smyers of Dan + Shay was seen raising his fists in gratitude for the occasion in one of the crowd shots.
Combs contributed “Ain’t No Love in Oklahoma” to the soundtrack of the film Twisters, which has a plethora of country tunes.
Following his performance at the CMAs, Combs has a big night ahead of him. As a musician and producer, he is nominated for two Album of the Year awards (for his Fathers & Sons project), and he is also nominated for Male Vocalist of the Year and Entertainer of the Year.
Combs has previously taken home the top accolade of Entertainer of the Year from the CMA Awards twice.
