Blake Shelton Reveals the Most Dad Thing He Does + It Will Melt Your Heart [Exclusive]

Blake Shelton appeared by Taste of Country Nights to talk with host Evan Paul about the release of his new song, “Texas,” and he revealed a side of himself that we don’t often see.

Shelton’s personal life includes being the stepfather to Gwen Stefani’s three sons from her previous marriage: Apollo, Kingston, and Zuma. He’s been in this role for a while—they’ve been dating for almost ten years—and he’s picked up some “dad” tendencies along the way.

Shelton confesses, “I do a lot of dad stuff,” “I guess the most clich dad thing I do … every single day when the kids get home from school, Apollo, our youngest, we throw the football for about 30 minutes.”

The country music artist said about his 10-year-old, “He’s got this thing, he loves to jump on the trampoline while I throw the football at him so he can do like the crazy Odell Beckham catches and Deandre Hopkins stuff.”

Shelton, 48, had a humorous response when asked if he also jumps and throws on the trampoline:

“No! I get tired just tossing the ball back and forth.

The singer informed us that he is working on a new album, but he is unsure of the precise date at which his label will ask him to complete it. He also informed us that after the record is published, a tour will follow.
